She was commenting on criticism from Pranai Wadi, senior director for arms control, disarmament and non-proliferation at the National Security Council in the administration of US President Joe Biden.
“Such a toxic reaction by Washington once again confirms that we are right when we firmly defend Russia’s interests. We will continue to be firmly guided by the principled approaches presented by Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov,” added Zakharova.
Pranai Wadi said earlier that the nature of the security threat posed by North Korea could change dramatically over the next decade as a result of unprecedented cooperation with Russia.
“What we are seeing between Russia and North Korea is an unprecedented level of military cooperation,” Wadi commented.
