Russia’s Response After Membership in the UN Human Rights Council is Suspended

Jakarta, CNN Indonesia

Russia speak up about the decision PBB suspended his membership in Human Rights Council. They regretted the postponement.

However, Russia said it would not back down with the UN decision. But they promised to defend their interests.

“We are sorry about that. And we will continue to defend our interests using every possible legal means,” Kremlin spokesman Dmitry Peskov said in an interview with Britain’s Sky News.

The United Nations General Assembly on Thursday (7/6) suspended Russia’s membership in the United Nations Human Rights Council. The decision was taken regarding reports of gross and systematic human rights violations committed by Russia against Ukraine.

The decision to suspend Russia’s membership was inseparable from a US-led push. The push was made by the State of Uncle Sam regarding the massacre of civilians in Bucha, Ukraine.

They accused the massacre of being carried out by Russian troops. However, Russia has denied the allegations.

Peskov said it was Russia that was the victim in Ukraine.

“We actually lost a lot of troops. And this is a big tragedy for us,” added Peskov. President Vladimir Putin’s spokesman also defended the causes and direction of Russia’s aggression against Ukraine.

Peskov dismissed accusations of the massacre in the Ukrainian city of Bucha as a well-staged drama while claiming bodies found in the streets were placed after Russian troops withdrew.

“We live in the days of falsehoods and lies that we encounter every day,” he said.
