According to the Belarusian president, Russia’s opponents are in no hurry to start talks.
“If they want to fight to the last Ukrainian, or every last Pole and other mercenaries, that’s their choice,” he said.

“So far, neither our intelligence services nor I see their willingness to engage in full-scale talks,” Lukashenko said.
“We have openly made our position clear. Neither you (Russia) nor we ever wanted war,” he added.
Meanwhile, on another occasion, Russian Defense Minister Sergey Shoigu said allied relations between Moscow and Minsk were of particular importance amid unprecedented pressure from the West.
