Russia’s newest secret weapon, the S-70 drone, has been shot down by friendly forces in Ukrainian airspace.

Britain’s BBC and US military media outlet TWZ Warzone reported on the 5th that an S-70, scheduled for mass production this year, was shot down by a missile launched from a Russian fighter Sukhoi-57 in Donetsk Oblast, eastern Ukraine.

The reason why the Russian military dropped its secret weapon, the S-70, is not clearly determined.

However, speculation has been raised that Russia may have decided to shoot down the S-70, which became uncontrollable due to radio jamming or malfunction, as it entered airspace of Ukraine to prevent it from falling into the hands of the enemy.

It is known that the S-70, a large drone weighing more than 20 tons and having a range of 6,000 km, was developed with a complex manned and unmanned combat system that performs missions in formation with the Sukhoi-57.
