Russia’s invasion of Ukraine – the US called for military exercises in Europe

Member of the US House of Representatives, Republican Michael McCall called for joint exercises in the Baltic countries Poland, Romania and Bulgaria. Washington should “demonstrate” to Russian President Vladimir Putin the “seriousness” of intentions against the background of the escalation around Ukraine.

McCall opined that US President Joe Biden often made “concessions” to the Russian leader, “so Putin feels weak.”

“It’s important to convey the message of containment. We need joint exercises in Poland, the Baltics, Romania, Bulgaria to show Putin that we’re serious. He doesn’t see that we’re serious. I think it all started in Afghanistan when he I saw weakness, and weakness provokes aggression,” McCall said.

In addition, according to him, work is underway on a bill on a package of assistance to Ukraine in the form of lethal means.
