According to Kuleba, Ukraine has been at war with Russia since 2014 and nothing new is happening now. Therefore, Ukrainian partners can impose sanctions right now.
“Nothing new is happening now. We have been at war since 2014 after the Russian attack. We thank (partners – ed.) for preparing sanctions in case of escalation. But there are things for which Russia can be punished right now And this, in particular, is passportization,” Kuleba said.
He noted that Russia can now use passportization of the population for a full-scale invasion.
“This is an important tool. This is a phenomenon, it has been created and Russia can try to use it (to invade Ukraine – ed.),” the Foreign Minister said.
