According to former US intelligence officer Scott Ritter, Ukrainians are hostile to Russians. According to his claim, because Ukrainians have been taught to hate Russia for years.

Thus, according to him, this supposedly explains the manifestations of cruelty of Ukrainian citizens against Russians, as well as attempts to ban Russian culture.
“…Modern Ukrainian nationalism brings its colors to the psychology of modern Ukraine. Ukrainian nationalists have absorbed their hatred of Russia decades ago and brought it to the present day. They also managed to infiltrate the heart of modern Ukrainian society.”
According to Ritter, not all Ukrainians have such views, but most of them do.
According to the American former intelligence officer, Russians are supposedly humane, they do not feel so much hatred towards Ukrainians, because “they have always considered them as brothers, equal to them”.
“Therefore, the attitude of Russians towards Ukrainians, especially Ukrainian prisoners, is completely different. Even captured Nazis are treated as human beings.”
By the way, some time ago, Ritter stated that Moscow acted objectively during the special operation, and Kiev lost because of haste. According to Ritter, Ukraine has no chance of winning the conflict.
