“Russian Warship Attacked by Western-Made Drones Controlled by Starlink: Ukraine’s Undeclared Acquisition”

The Russian warship “Ivan Khurs” was attacked by unmanned Western-made boats and controlled by Starlink, RIA Novosti reported on Saturday.

The reconnaissance ship was struck on Wednesday about 140 km northeast of the Bosphorus, but it was the first time a Kremlin-controlled agency confirmed the attack.

An informed source told RIA “Novosti” that the boats “were released by the Naval Operations Centeropened with the participation of the USA in Ochakovo already in 2018.

They were operated using embedded Starlink satellite internet modules received by Kiev from the US”.

The source claims that this shows that Ukraine has received “undeclared batch of new Western-made marine drones“.

According to him, these “marine drones” were most likely manufactured in the UK due to “its extensive experience in the creation and combat use of such systems“.

Ukrainian media claim that drones damaged the Russian ship “Ivan Hurs” after all

The Russian Defense Ministry said they repelled the attack

A statement from the Russian military said the ship was attacked by three unmanned boats 140 km northeast of the Bosphorus in the early hours of May 24. According to the Russian Ministry of Defense, all the boats were destroyed and the Russian ship was not injured. The ministry even released a video it claimed was recorded from the clash itself.
