Russian TV Station Shares Video of World’s Largest Plane Wreckage

KIEV – A video broadcast by a television station Russia shows the wreckage of the world’s largest cargo plane, the Antonov AN-225, which was destroyed near Kiev in the invasion of the countryke Ukraine .

The airport was targeted on the first day of the Russian invasion of Ukraine, and was captured but quickly recaptured by Ukrainian forces, as described in detail by The Wall Street Journal.

The plane was badly damaged that day, The Journal reported. According to Ukrainian state-owned defense conglomerate Ukroboronprom, the plane was at the airport for repairs.

It has since been unclear who controlled the airport and when. According to the Channel 1 broadcast, Russian troops were in control at the time of recording.
