Russian TV Promotes Nuclear War with West: Expert Calls for Preemptive Strikes on Baltic States

Russian television continues to stir up hysteria around the prospect of a nuclear war with the West.

Kremlin propaganda is increasing its aggressive rhetoric, presenting the prospect of nuclear war with the West as inevitable. On the far-right TV channel of the Russian Federation “Tsargrad” they discussed with smiles the need to launch a preventive nuclear strike on the Baltics.

A certain Russian “political observer” Andrei Perla called for war with the West. He discussed with a smile and even a laugh the alleged need for a nuclear strike on Vilnius and Helsinki. The basis for this aggression, according to this “expert,” is his unfounded belief that the West allegedly wants to attack Russia.

We cannot do anything about Europe’s desire to fight us in the Baltics and the Arctic. We can only take this for granted. They want it! Here! And then the most important question arises: what do we do with all this? Either we are strengthening ourselves in the Leningrad North-Western Military District and waiting for them to attack, or we, in the spirit of Comrade Stalin, are delivering a preventive strike with the help of conventional weapons, or, in the spirit of modern times, we are striking somewhere with the help of special ammunition … Very scary!” said the Kremlin propagandist.

He presented the prospect of nuclear war as inevitable and proposed two options for launching a preemptive strike on the West: on one of the capitals with massive civilian casualties and on a desert area.

Should we hit Vilnius or Helsinki right away with these 0.3 kilotons, or somewhere in the icy desert there, further to the north, so that more or less no one would get hurt, but there was a big hole in the ground, you can get into it It would be good to look, scratch the back of your head and say: “It’s probably not necessary to attack the Russians after all.” Laughter is laughter, but we will have to make such a choice along the way“, said the Russian “expert”.

Earlier, ISW analyzed why the topic of nuclear weapons was raised again in the Russian Federation.

We also wrote that the Russian Federation rehearsed a nuclear strike after Putin’s threats.
