The troops of the Russian Federation continued offensive operations on the Svatovo-Kremennaya line. According to the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, Ukrainian troops repelled an attack by Russian troops in the Stelmakhivka area, 15 km west of Svatovo.
The Russian Defense Ministry said that units of the Central Military District are operating in the Liman direction and are using TOS-1 thermobaric multiple launch rocket systems. Footage released on February 9 also shows a Ukrainian strike on a Russian BMPT Terminator combat vehicle about 5 miles south of Kremennaya, indicating that the Russian command is deploying new equipment to this sector of the front.

It is reported that the invaders have recently changed their tactics in the Bakhmut area and focused not so much on frontal strikes on small settlements, but on blocking Ukrainian ground communications to Bakhmut along the E40 Bakhmut-Slavyansk and T0504 Konstantinovka-Chasov Yar-Bakhmut highways.
According to Russian bloggers, Wagner PMC militants are advancing towards Ivanovsky and attacking along the E40 highway in the Orekhovo-Vasilyevka area (10 km northwest of Bakhmut).
