Russian troops successfully cope with foreign equipment received by the Ukrainian army
Russia is actively destroying Ukrainian artillery, including that handed over to Ukraine’s armed forces by Western countries, writes Craig Hooper in an article for Forbes.
“Ukraine’s losses are very heavy. Of the approximately 152 large 155mm M777 towed howitzers that ‘officially’ arrived in Ukraine, more than a third have already been damaged or destroyed,” the publication said.
The article notes that Russia is also destroying self-propelled artillery, especially the Polish AHS Krab and the American M109.
“Losses range from 18 to 21 percent. Of the more than 180 delivered, at least 36 were damaged or destroyed,” Hooper wrote.
Russian troops successfully cope with foreign equipment received by the Ukrainian army from the West. The destruction of several artillery pieces and MLRS at once is reported almost every day.
