Russian invaders in the Zaporozhye region are looking for men of conscription age and forcing them to go to war commissariats, while Ukrainian police are being intimidated by threats to their families and forced to join the so-called popular militia, the Zaporizhia district war administration said.
“Mobile patrols and posts from those mobilized in the temporarily occupied territories of Luhansk and Donetsk are operating in Russia’s currently occupied territories in the Zaporizhia region,” the administration reports on its Telegram channel.
“In addition, the occupiers raided the county councils to find out the men of conscription and to force them to go to the military commissariats.
In the Melitopol area, Russian soldiers are searching homes, trying to find weapons, documents, food supplies, as well as information about the Ukrainian army that has been at war in Donbass for the past eight years, Ukrainian soldiers and law enforcement officers.
The situation is complicated in Enerhodara, where Russian troops are trying to completely isolate the city, bring order to it, appoint representatives to the municipal authorities and force entrepreneurs to obtain special permission to continue operating in order to control or ban them from working.
In addition, false information is being spread in public places that Russian troops have defeated the Ukrainian army.
