Russian troops are “stuck” in the Avdeevka region and are unable to make progress, so they are concentrating their main efforts on Novomykhaylovka. This was emphasized by the spokesman of the Operational-Strategic Group of Forces (OSGV) “Tavria” Dmitry Likhovoi on the air of the telethon, reports RBC-Ukraine.
According to him, the situation in the Avdeev district is relatively stabilized. On Tuesday, Ukrainian soldiers repelled 23 enemy attacks, and on Wednesday – 14, but already in the area of the settlements of Berdichi, Tonenkoe, Pervomaiskoe, Nevelskoe. The actions of the Russian forces near Avdeevka are local.
“Although the front line in some places remains dynamic, in general, in these three villages – Berdichi, Tonenkoe and Orlovka, the enemy is stuck and standing still,” Likhovoi said. But according to Likhovoi, Russian forces are now directing their efforts to the Novopavlov direction (the old Mariinsky ).
“In particular, in the area of the village of Novomihailovka, the enemy is simply pushing on the eastern outskirts, pursuing the goal of moving forward, making great efforts and at the same time tightening them. This is the main direction of the Russians in the Donetsk region after Avdeyevka,” the spokesman specified OSGV “Tavria”.
