Details: Russian troops continued offensive operations in the Avdeevsky direction on December 14 and made confirmed advances.
Geolocation footage released on December 14 shows that Russian troops have advanced just south of the railway line, which runs northwest of Stepnoye (about 7 km northwest of Avdievka).
Russian military bloggers claimed that Russian troops were continuing heavy assaults near Stepnoye and were advancing along the railway line in the Stepnoye area.
A representative of the Ukrainian brigade stationed in the Avdeevsky direction suggested that Russian troops were conducting particularly intense shelling in the area between Stepnoy and the railway line, and said that Russian troops were trying to remove the bodies of those killed in the battle from the area.
Russian bloggers also claimed that the occupiers were establishing a foothold on the southeastern outskirts of Avdiivka, particularly along Kolosova Street, although ISW has not seen any visual evidence of Russian troops operating on or near Kolosova Street.
The Ukrainian General Staff reported that Ukrainian forces repulsed Russian attacks near Avdiivka itself, east of Novobakhmutovka (13 km northwest of Avdiivka), south of Severny (5 km west of Avdiivka), and near Pervomaisky (10 km southwest of Avdeevka) and Nevelskoye (13 km southwest of Avdeevka).
