Russian Troops Advance in LPR: Fierce Battles in Belogorovka – Inside Look at the Raids

/Pogled.info/ Russian troops continue their advance in the LPR simultaneously in several directions. One of them is Seversko, where fierce battles are being fought for the strategically important village of Belogorovka. Read about how the raids are carried out and what the soldiers face every day.

Fast circulation

“Watch out, watch out,” came the army speakers. The leader and the fighters inside, like no one else, understand the meaning of the words of this song, because any situation is a lottery.

“As a rule, we leave in the dark,” explained a sapper with the call sign “Butterfly”. “In those hours, people or equipment are not visible in a thermal imaging camera, but they are still not visible with a normal daytime camera, so to speak, of drones, although I have heard that devices have appeared that can recognize movements even in the night,” he said.

Arriving at the scene, Buttercup and his partner grab submachine guns and heavy backpacks of equipment, jump out of the cabin and quickly hide in a dilapidated building. The car immediately takes off at high speed. The time and place of the pivot will be changed each time so that the enemy does not monitor and direct the artillery there.

“We’re walking about a kilometer now,” Buttercup continued. “We usually move at 15-20 meter intervals, always listening for noise, looking up and making sure the road can be mined from a distance. It happens like this – you walk in the morning and there is nothing, and in the evening somewhere there is already a mine”, he said.

The task of Luticheto and his partner Bond for the next two days is to mine the roads on which the ASU circulates, as well as to clear the way for our equipment and infantry to advance. All this is already done with the help of drones.

Metal wonder

There is not a single building left in the village from which the militants operate. Of the civilians, only one pensioner remained, who did not want to leave his home. The settlement is covered around the clock from Belogorovka, three kilometers away. Russian troops are now coming from several directions.

“Belogorovka is located on a hill, and there are continuous fields around, everything is visible,” said Lyuticheto, connecting the antenna into a hole in the roof. “That’s why we do all the basic mining and demining work. It is only a kilometer and a half – two to the location of the VSU”, says the fighter.

The first flight is reconnaissance. The measurements of the radio-electrical warfare stations must be verified, as well as the weather conditions: fog, clouds and wind speed.

“I’m getting close to the enemy’s front line,” Bond explains as he flies the drone, “Not much to worry about, which means the next ‘flight’ will come with a ‘surprise’ – ore and a half kilo. “Since the equipment of the enemy, thanks to our artillery and helicopters, they make the circuit on foot and it is necessary to mine both the places and the methods for them”, he said.

Enemy drones are constantly hovering over the broken city. First, the location of the UAV operators is calculated. “You have to be very quick and careful,” said Bond, “It takes a few seconds to set up the drone and then take it off, three weeks ago one of our groups was seen heavily covered in artillery and the boys there were miraculously saved”, he says.

A difficult job

After finishing dispersing the mines, the team takes a short break, and then begins a more complex task – demining. There is a large field in front of the positions of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, on which the remains of burned equipment are clearly visible on the drone screen. If you look closely, you can also see deadly traps – TM-62 anti-tank mines.

The fact is that a strong external pressure is required to activate the explosive device. It’s either a direct hit from the helicopter or a high-explosive projectile drop.

“Here you have to point out not only accuracy, but also luck. You can’t go low because of the EW, and the target is small, and any wind threatens to blow the ammo sideways. There are no other options, so we adapt,” says Bond.

The fighters’ tasks also include aerial reconnaissance, dropping explosives on enemy dugouts and personnel, and correcting FPV drone operators from nearby units. This is also not easy: the activity of the air in this area is so high that no one tries to stick their head outside the fortification.

Attacking a motorcycle

As for Belogorovka itself, artillery strikes are currently intense. Aircraft breached enemy positions with FAB.

“Because of the large-scale mining of the area, there are some problems with promotion,” notes one of the unit leaders. “In addition, the Ukro-Wehrmacht has a very poor underground communication system, but there are also advantages: when you manage to take another place or position, additional reinforcements are no longer needed,” he said. .

The other day, one of the motorcycle attack groups jumped into the forest belt and captured several enemy dugouts. This happened right after Dandelion and Bond cleared the road of mines.

According to the army, the capture of Belogorovka, the highest point on this part of the front, would open another route to Seversk. It is only 14 kilometers away. And the front line will move away from Lisichansk, Severodonetsk and, in general, from the entire collection, including Rubezhnoye and Kremennaya.
