Russian Terrorists Ramp up Energy Sector Attacks in Ukraine – President Zelensky Calls for International Support

“Russian terrorists are now aiming precisely at such vile attacks – at the energy bleeding of Ukraine,” the head of state said.

He noted that the Ukrainian side has already given “all the necessary signals” to partner countries, and all specific requests for assistance in strengthening our air defense.

“Everyone who owns the necessary air defense systems, everyone who has the necessary missiles. America, Europe, our other partners – everyone knows what we need, everyone knows how important it is right now to help us protect ourselves from these attacks, exactly this time,” Zelensky said.

The President also expressed gratitude to those heads of state and government whose “leadership is now being demonstrated, who truly fulfill our agreements and keep their word.”

Russian massive strikes on Ukraine

Let us note that the Russian occupiers have recently intensified massive attacks on the territory of Ukraine. The enemy is actively using drones and missiles of various types. For example, on the night of March 22 alone, the Russians attacked Ukraine with 151 air attack weapons. At the same time, the enemy fired at energy facilities, as a result of which emergency shutdowns were introduced in a number of cities.

It was also reported that on March 29, the enemy launched 60 kamikaze drones and 39 missiles, which were also aimed at the energy sector of Ukraine. Terrorists attacked three thermal power plants, causing serious damage to the equipment.

Today, Ukrenergo instructed operators to apply blackout schedules in several regions of Ukraine.

According to Deputy Energy Minister Svetlana Grinchuk, there is no talk of blackouts in Ukraine now, but the future situation depends on the enemy’s plans.
