Russian tennis player Roman Safiullin got into the main draw of Wimbledon, the third Grand Slam tournament of the season, after the removal of Spaniard Rafael Nadal. This is reported by Twitter Entry List Updates, which tracks changes in the composition of the participants in tennis tournaments.
Nadal, 36, has not played since January, after being eliminated in the second round of the Australian Open. The Spaniard has a hip injury, he previously said that the recovery did not go according to plan. It was revealed last week that Nadal would miss Roland Garros for the first time since 2005.
