Russian woman at the age of 16 defeated a Ukrainian at the WTA tournament in Lausanne

Russian tennis player Mirra Andreeva advanced to the second round of the tournament in Lausanne (Switzerland) with a prize fund of almost $260,000.
In the opening match of the tournament, 16-year-old Andreeva (64th racket of the world) beat Ukrainian Dayana Yastremska (145th) – 6:0, 6:2. The match lasted a little over an hour.
For reaching the quarterfinals, Andreeva will play with the Hungarian Anna Bondar (60).

Andreeva only won her first match in WTA tournaments at the end of April and has since climbed 130 places in the world rankings.
The winner of the tournament in Lausanne will receive 280 rating points and more than $34,000.
