More than half of Russian teachers have had problems with the Russian language ability of migrant children. This conclusion was reached by researchers from the Center for Economics of Continuing Education, Institute of Economics and Economics, RANEPA, after surveying 2,064 teachers from Novgorod, Chelyabinsk and Yaroslavl regions.

“53% of teachers have problems with learning the Russian language and general education subjects among migrant children. At the same time, 42% of the surveyed teachers do not see any problems in this matter, and 5.5% found it difficult to give a definite answer,” writes Vedomosti, citing a study by the Center for Continuing Education Economics, Institute of Economics and Economics, RANEPA.

The publication’s experts noted that some schools may not have enough resources for high-quality work with migrant children due to a lack of staff. The problem is particularly relevant for educational institutions where the proportion of such students is high.
