It is Ukrainian Air Force spokesman Yurii Ihnat who says this Ukrainskaya Pravda.

Ukraine claim they shot down 71 out of 75 suicide drones on the night of Saturday.

But now Ihnat says Russia has begun coating its Iranian Shahed drones with carbon.

– Now we see that they have started to use carbon material. That’s because carbon is an absorbent material for radar signals and is black.

– The color will complicate the work of air defense, because it makes it more difficult for the soldiers to detect drones in the sky – and shoot them down.

According to the Ukrainian Air Force, the attack on the night of Saturday is the largest using Shahed drones so far in the war. And the attacks were mainly aimed at the capital, Kyiv.

On Saturday evening, Ukrainian media reports that Russia is attacking a number of different areas. This applies to both the regions of Zaporizhzhya and Dnepropetrovsk – and again to Kyiv.

– The Russians will focus on regions where there is less air defense and more targets that are of interest to them. Especially in Kyiv, there are many targets that are tempting for the enemy, especially the so-called “decision centers”, says military expert Ivan Stupak to Ukrainian channel 24.

– They will concentrate their attacks on places where they know there are weapons depots. We are talking about Western tanks, sites for the production of electronic warfare equipment, as well as deployed HIMARS systems, says the former agent of Ukrainian intelligence.
