As reported by the Ministry of Defense, as a result, the enemy was forced to interrupt the mission and retreat to the home airfield.
The report notes that the Su-35 crew was ordered to accompany and cover a group of bombers. During a combat mission, he discovered an enemy strike group in the air.
“During the execution of the mission, an enemy strike group was discovered, I carried out guidance on this group,, according to the instructions of the command post, approached, and set up an attack. The enemy strike group turned away and stopped performing its mission,” said Su-35S pilot Ivan.
He added that our bombers successfully completed their combat mission, after which they returned to the departure airfield in full force.
