Several Russian strikes killed at least three people and injured four others in Ukraine during the last 24 hours, especially in the city of Kryvyi Ryg, the birthplace of Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky, according to what the Ukrainian authorities announced.
On Friday evening, the bombing of a residential area led to the death of one person and the injury of another in Kryvyi Reg in the Dnipropetrovsk region in the south of the country, according to police.
The presidential office said that among the wounded was a 57-year-old woman who was hit by shrapnel and taken to hospital in serious condition. The presidential office added, “Vital installations were damaged.” Police confirmed that a fire also broke out during the night due to a strike on an industrial complex, and the fire was later extinguished.
Another person was killed as a result of a bombing targeting Nikopol, a town located on the bank of the Dnieper River, about 100 kilometers east of Kryvyi Reg, according to the regional administration.
To the south, in the Kherson region, a series of strikes have killed one person and injured another since Friday morning, according to local authorities.
Attacks injured two people in the Kharkiv and Donetsk regions in the east. The presidential office indicated that several towns in Donetsk were subjected to “Russian fire,” including Avdiivka.
The city of Avdiivka has been located on the front since 2014, 13 kilometers north of Donetsk, the “capital” under Russian control of the region of the same name, which Putin announced its annexation last year.
