A group of Russian infantrymen rebelled against their direct superiors, accusing them of “incompetence” and of using them as “cannon fodder” at the front. According to them, in the past four days alone, 300 people from the Russian army have been killed or injured in fighting in eastern Ukraine.
On this occasion, they decided to visit the pro-Russian local governor and deliver him a letter in which they fiercely criticize the “disastrous” plan of their superiors, in this case the generals Rustam Muradov and Zurab Akhmedov. The military say the two are hiding chaos in the Donetsk region from the Kremlin and are deliberately minimizing the death toll for fear of being held accountable.
In their letter, the soldiers ask the governor how long such “mediocre” military operations will be planned by Muradov and Akhmedov.
They don’t care about anything but themselves. To them, people are cannon fodder. Please contact the supreme [главнокомандващ Путин]to send a commission to investigate what happened, they insist in their letter, inform 20minutos.
