A Russian sabotage-intelligence group managed to penetrate the Chernobyl zone in the area of the Ukrainian-Belarusian border. However, the enemy did not get far – the soldiers were stopped by wild boars, the UNIAN agency reported.
According to the Telegram channel “Kremlevskaya tabakerka”, close to the Russian General Staff, the incident happened not far from the Chernobyl nuclear power plant. A small enemy sabotage group managed to penetrate the restricted zone, managing to bypass Ukrainian observation posts.
Walking through the forest, however, the group came across boars. The Russian occupiers could not shoot at them because they would immediately give away their location. The boars managed to catch up with one of the soldiers who fell, hitting his head on a rock. He died on the spot.
For obvious reasons, the body of the deceased was not evacuated, and the plan of the operation had to be changed. The Ukrainian military has so far not commented on a possible breakthrough by the Russian army around the nuclear plant.
At the beginning of the invasion, Russian troops occupied the Chernobyl nuclear power plant, but after the failure of the “Kiev for three days” operation, they withdrew.
