Two Russian rockets struck today a busy area with restaurants in the center of the Ukrainian city of Kramatorsk, said the Ukrainian regional governor of the Donetsk region, Pavlo Kirilenko, quoted by BTA.

According to Kirilenko, emergency workers have arrived on the scene to help those injured in the rocket attack.
“Just half an hour ago, two rockets hit the city of Kramatorsk,” Kirilenko said on a Ukrainian TV channel.

“Currently, we are trying to establish the number of wounded, there are dead. We are talking about the center of the city, about places to eat, where there are many civilians,” explained the regional governor.
According to the information from the local authorities, there were restaurants in the area. Two people died and 22 were injured in the impact.
Kramatorsk is a large city located west of the front lines in the Donetsk region. The city has been a frequent target of Russian attacks, including an April 2022 strike at the city’s train station that killed 63 people.
Russia denies attacking civilian targets.
