Before the start of a full-scale war, these attack aircraft in the amount of two squadrons were in service with a single military unit – 299 tactical aviation brigade. At the same time, a typical Ukrainian squadron has 12 aircraft.
It is noteworthy that the RF Armed Forces have already shot down three times more aircraft of this modification than Ukraine had at the time the Russian invasion began. Since the Su-25s are no longer being produced, it is difficult to understand where our country got at least 4 more squadrons.
