According to the artist, everyone should have behaved this way.
Latvian singer and close friend Alla Pugacheva Laima Vaikule commented on the behavior of the press secretary of the Russian dictator Putin Dmitry Peskov at the funeral of fashion designer Valentin Yudashkin.
Then Peskov, who is also the deputy head of the presidential administration, unexpectedly approached Alla Borisovna and started kissing her hands. And this is against the background of the fact that the Kremlin, through propaganda resources, broadcasts not very pleasant things about Pugacheva, who does not support the bloody policy of the Russian dictator.
According to Vaikule, there is nothing surprising in Peskov’s behavior, and everyone should have done this in his place:
“Of course he did. What happened? Why shouldn’t he fit? Whoever writes, no matter how much they want to denigrate her, you can’t get away from history. They will rewrite history later. But for now, we are all witnesses that Alla – this is a people’s artist, she was known not only in the post-Soviet space, and abroad. Why Peskov did not approach such a star? It’s an honor. In general, it’s normal that a man approached a woman, even on such a serious, difficult day and expressed his respect. Everyone had to approach her like that,” Vaikule commented in an interview with “And Graham Came Out”.
Also, when asked by a journalist whether Alla Pugacheva was afraid in the Kremlin, Vaikule replied that they definitely respected her, and they grew up listening to her songs.
As you know, at the beginning of Russia’s full-scale invasion of Ukraine, Alla Pugacheva, together with her husband Maxim Galkin and their two children, left Russia. Galkin actively and openly supports Ukraine and talks about the atrocities committed by the Russian occupiers on Ukrainian soil. Also at his concerts, Galkin makes fun of Russian propagandists.
At the beginning of May, Alla Borisovna came to Russia for the first time in a long timeto spend the last journey of the fashion designer and his close friend Valentin Yudashkin. There, Putin’s press secretary Dmitry Peskov unexpectedly approached her and began kissing her hands.
Note that after this the artist lost her expensive watch. And according to Pugacheva, few people approached her that day. Immediately after the funeral of Yudashkin, the artist left Russia.
