During a big speech at a meeting with entrepreneurs of the Far East on January 11, Russian President Vladimir Putin, as reports TASS, promised to come to the Kuril Islands.
“We need to develop a tourism cluster [Курильских] islands. It’s very interesting there, they say. Was not [там]unfortunately, but I will definitely come,” the head of state said.
EADaily reminds that the Kuril Islands in the Pacific Ocean are a constant “subject” of irritation on the part of official Tokyo, which calls the Kuril Islands its territory.
At the meeting with businessmen, Vladimir Putin also commented on the progress of the Far East development program. According to him, when it began, many “the mood was sour”but entrepreneurs took the first steps, and “the movement has become noticeable”.
“Moscow is a good city, there are many opportunities there, but there are none,” says Vladimir Putin.
Now, the head of state clarified, it is important to maintain the stability of the situation and provide the Far Eastern Federal District with the necessary benefits.
“Stability is truly the mother of investment. It is very important to maintain this regime as a whole and not worsen it,” he said.
EADaily previously also reported that the Russian Ministry of Finance sometimes “gets” from Vladimir Putin.
