Russian President Vladimir Putin congratulated the Mosfilm film concern on its centenary. The corresponding message was published on the official website of the Kremlin.
“Dear friends! Congratulations on your significant anniversary – the 100th anniversary of the Mosfilm film concern. One of the oldest film studios in the country, Mosfilm is rightfully proud of its rich history, the names and creative achievements of outstanding professionals,” noted in an address by Vladimir Putin. He noted the achievements of directors, actors and other creative figures related to Mosfilm.
The day before, Mosfilm General Director Karen Shakhnazarov said that does not see the development of Russian cinema. But he added that it is necessary to continue making more domestic films while Western sanctions are in effect.
