Russian President Vladimir Putin said that the process of abandoning the dollar in international trade transactions continues.

Putin said in recorded remarks to the BRICS summit held in South Africa today, Tuesday, that investment in BRICS countries has increased sixfold.

He explained that the “BRICS” group exceeds the Group of Seven in terms of purchasing power, adding: “The global economic situation has been greatly affected by unilateral Western sanctions.”

Putin explained that the group is on its way to meeting the aspirations of most of the world’s population.

He added, “We cooperate on the basis of the principles of equality, support for partnership and respect for each other’s interests, and this is the essence of the strategic path.”
For our group, and (it is a path) directed towards the future, and it is the path that meets the aspirations of the largest part of the global community .. the so-called global majority.

The group includes Brazil, Russia, India, China and South Africa, whose economies together constitute more than 26% of the global economy, while the population of these countries constitutes 40% of the world’s population.
