Russian President Putin to Hold Telephone Conversations with Israeli PM Netanyahu, Palestinian President Abbas, and Egyptian President al-Sisi: Updates on the Palestinian-Israeli Conflict

On October 16, Russian President Vladimir Putin will have a telephone conversation with Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu, Palestinian President Mahmoud Abbas, and Egyptian President Abdel Fattah al-Sisi. Assistant to the head of state Yuri Ushakov told reporters about this.

“Today we have, one might say, a “powerful shot”: five telephone conversations. The President has already spoken with the President of Syria [Башаром Асадом] and with the President of Iran [Эбрахимом Раиси]. During the day, there will also be telephone contacts with the presidents of Egypt al-Sisi, Palestinian President Abbas, as well as Israeli Prime Minister Netanyahu,” Ushakov noted.

As the assistant to the President of the Russian Federation emphasized, before his visit to Beijing, Putin “will talk with the main countries related to this conflict.”

“Naturally, he will express our assessments and state our position. And he will listen to the relevant considerations of his colleagues,” Ushakov said.

He added that the Russian leader is “closely monitoring the unprecedented escalation of the Palestinian-Israeli conflict.”

“All issues related to this conflict are in the focus of the president’s attention,” the Kremlin spokesman stated.

Ushakov also recalled that Putin has already spoken publicly on this topic, including during a recent visit to Bishkek.

“He discussed this situation with the Prime Minister of Iraq [Мухаммедом ас-Судани], who was in Moscow last week. Spoke on the phone with the President of Turkey [Реджепом Тайипом] Erdogan“said the Kremlin representative, quoted by TASS.
