Russian poet and author of many popular songs Ilya Reznik faced financial difficulties. In recent years, he almost did not write new hits: Ilya Rakhmielevich is now more interested in working on books. And his old creations practically do not bring any income.
Reznik himself was modest and did not tell how much he earns from his work. But music critic Sergei Sosedov turned out to be bolder and publicly announced the amount that the famous author receives.
Sosedov said that about ten years ago he was traveling with Ilya Reznik on a train. He invited his neighbor in the car to guess how much the songs bring him. Sergei did not even dare to suggest, but he was sure that he would certainly run decently in a year.
When Reznik himself announced the amount of 11 thousand, Sosedov was even embarrassed – is it really so little in dollars? To which the poet retorted:
“What dollars? 11 thousand rubles!
The music critic could not even find an answer to such news.
“There was a silent scene in the car,” Sosedov said.
