Six months ago, a SKD assembly line for cars was launched, and the cars arrived at dealerships at the end of 2022. The cost of manufactured models for 6 months increased by an average of 45 thousand rubles. “Moskvich 3” in the “Standard” configuration with a 1.5-liter engine of 150 horsepower, with a 6-speed manual transmission costs 1,992 rubles. The first feedback from the owners of the plant’s products leaves much to be desired. The range of opinions from criticism of a low-powered engine to problems with Russification of the multimedia system menu at the very beginning of sales indicates poor preparation for adapting the original JAC JS4 model (“Moskvich 3” is a licensed copy of a Chinese crossover – ed.) to Russian realities.
In May of this year, the company announced that the Moskvich plant would transfer 3,000 Moskvich 3 cars in the Standard configuration to the taxi services of the People & People Group of Companies. The agreement on the supply of cars was signed a month ago, nothing was reported about the timing of its implementation.
