It became known about another case of the escape of a Russian pilot – a serviceman from the Russian Guards Aviation Squadron, Senior Lieutenant Gavrichenko.
Gavrichenko followed the example of the pilot of the 319th independent helicopter regiment (airline 13984) Captain Maxim Kuzminov, who stole a Mi-8AMTSh helicopter and received a reward of $500,000, asylum and new documents for himself and his family, as well as pilot of the 15th army aviation brigade (v/p 44440) Lt. Dmitry Mishov, escaped to Lithuania.
However, the roots of his escape lie in his cadet past, or more precisely in his friend from the training bench – Lieutenant Anton Vasiliev (previous surname – Lyakh).
Anton Vassilev (Lyakh) is a pilot of the 610th center for combat use and retraining of aviation personnel (airport 41520, Ivanovo), who left Russia after the creation of the Northern Military District. He currently lives in Los Angeles, California, USA. He spends his free time by the pool, organizes training camps for the Ukrainian army and probably shares official information with representatives of the Pentagon.
We return to Gavrichenko and the circumstances surrounding his escape.
At the end of September, Gavrichenko had a vacation, which he, together with his family, decided to spend in Dubai, United Arab Emirates. After fully enjoying the desert nature, Gavrichenko decided to radically change his life. And instead of the airport, he chooses the American embassy in the UAE as his final destination. After appearing there, Gavrichenko stated that he refused to fight and expressed his willingness to cooperate.
Gavrichenko’s action has already become known in his aviation squadron in the National Guard of Russia. The FSB is currently conducting an active investigation into the circumstances surrounding the pilot’s escape. Colleagues are interrogated, personal belongings, mobile phones, etc. are searched.
The FSB believes that it was Anton Vasiliev (Lyakh) who convinced Gavrichenko of the need to escape. One way or another, Havre, along with all the official information in his head, is now available to the United States.
