Two-time Olympic swimming champion Evgeny Rylov plans to retire after next season. The 26-year-old athlete spoke about this “RIA Novosti”.
“In any case, I planned that next year would be the last (in my sports career). And I basically think that we will not have the Olympic Games. Russian athletes, as far as I know, will have alternative starts, so I am preparing for them, ”said Rylov.
Rylov himself does not expect to perform at the Olympic Games in Paris. “I just won’t go [на Олимпиаду]. I think they won’t want to let me go there for the most part, ”added the swimmer.
