The Russian occupiers gathered more than 15,000 troops in Avdiyivka and there were eight Russians fighting against one Ukrainian soldier. The Ukrainian side does not reveal how many soldiers have been lost, but reports that unfortunately there are also guys who have been captured by the Russians. However, the losses of the occupiers in the battles for this small Ukrainian city are huge – we are talking about at least 100,000 soldiers, a large amount of equipment.
This morning we went in the direction of Avdijivka and the situation around the city is difficult. We drive through the villages around Avdijivkku and piles of rubble are also visible there, the occupation forces continue to shell these places even today.
The road leading from Kostiantynivla to Avdiyivka is under constant fire and the sky is controlled by Russian drones. We are getting closer to Avdijivka, in the distance we can see the burning Avdijivka coke factory, artillery is constantly roaring all around. In preparation for the fact that the Russians will try to advance along this road, the Ukrainians have prepared defensive lines and everything around them is mentioned.
Today’s news about the fall of Avdiyivka is painful for everyone, because it is clearly known that it would have been completely different if the international community had not hesitated to help, because it is precisely the lack of shells, artillery, and air support in the Ukrainian army that gives the Russians the opportunity to move forward.
Ukrainian soldiers stopped to warn us that there were enemy attack drones in the sky, we left. But Ukrainian soldiers continue to do what they can with the resources they have to hold the entire European front.
