Russian Occupiers Forcing Ukrainian Workers to Issue Passports

Workers are forced to issue Russian passports.

The Russian occupiers threaten with reprisals the personnel of the temporarily seized Zaporozhye nuclear power plantif they do not issue passports of the aggressor country of Russia.

About it informed The General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine in the morning report on August 4.

“In Energodar, temporarily captured by Russian troops, in order to continue work at the Zaporizhzhya NPP, the occupiers are forcing the plant personnel to issue Russian passports, threatening reprisals,” the report says.

It is noted that in the city, the occupying troops regularly search local residents both on the streets and in houses. People’s passports and mobile phones are being checked.

“If a citizen’s passport turns out to be Ukrainian, then the document is destroyed and they are forced to issue a Russian passport,” the report says.

The occupiers are forcing Ukrainian citizens to change other documents: driver’s licenses, papers for movable and immovable property.

As reported, occupiers come up with new methods of forced passportization population in the temporarily occupied territories of Ukraine. In particular, they intimidate people and offer money. It is noted that cases are known both in the Donetsk region and in Zaporozhye.
