Russian Occupiers Fail to Make Significant Advance Near Avdeevka, Says Military Official

The Russian occupiers have so little “success” near Avdeevka that it looks more like an extended gray area, the head of the military administration of the city of Avdeevka Vitaly Barabash said during a telethon, as quoted by the Ukrainian news agency UNIAN. He was actually commenting on the US Institute for the Study of War (ISW) report on the enemy advance near Avdeevka.

“The alleged success that this institute claims is so insignificant that it looks more like a slightly expanded gray area (that is, a territory not controlled by anyone – UNIAN),” the official noted. According to him, the Russian occupiers carry out many assaults – dozens of attacks during the day, but the Ukrainian defense forces do not allow them to gain a foothold. “If the enemy even manages to advance a little somewhere, then both the artillery and mortars fire at him immediately, that is, the enemy does not have such a serious movement,” stressed Barabash. /BGNES
