The center noted that the Russian occupation authorities continue to violate the rights of people in the occupied territories of eastern and southern Ukraine, especially with regard to human rights.
“The most common violation of human rights in the occupied territories this year is the violation of the right to property,” the CNS stated.
The Center for National Resistance reported that the Russian occupation forces, together with representatives of local occupation administrations, as well as other members of illegal armed groups, systematically appropriate or destroy the property of local residents.
Consequently, citizens of Ukraine who were forced to leave the occupied territories and currently do not have the opportunity to confirm ownership of real estate.
“In this regard, the occupying power does not hesitate to help its “defenders of the fatherland,” combat veterans, especially those who took an active part during the large-scale invasion,” the CNS said.
In addition, the center reported that a number of real estate on BOT is also used for military purposes, in particular, for housing personnel and equipment of the Russian occupation forces.
Repressions during the occupation
Since the beginning of the full-scale invasion, the Russian occupiers have been carrying out aggressive actions and forcing people to renounce Ukrainian citizenship in the temporarily occupied territories. In case of refusal of the Russian tricolor and other documents, terrorists may resort to threats and blackmail.
In particular, in search of underground, the enemy regularly conducts raids in the occupation, accompanied by repression and intimidation of the civilian population.
From the beginning of 2024, the enemy plans to ban the movement of vehicles with Ukrainian license plates in the occupied territories, and will also deny medical care to Ukrainians who refuse the tricolor.
