He said that at about 23:00 on the night of June 2, the Russians attacked Kyiv with Shahed-136/131 kamikaze drones. The drones approached from the south, using the terrain and the bed of the Dnieper River.
Later, around 03:00, Kh-101/Kh-555 cruise missiles were already in Ukrainian airspace. Their invaders fired Tu-95ms strategic bombers from the Caspian. They came from the northern direction, attacking the capital, maneuvered, trying to mislead our air defense.
However, the forces and means of air defense of the Air Force, in cooperation with the air defense of the components of the Defense Forces, destroyed all 15 cruise missiles and 21 attack drones.
Night attack on Ukraine
Tonight, the Russian invaders once again attacked Kyiv and the region. In the capital, debris fell in the Podolsk region, grass caught fire there.
The prosecutor’s office reported that an 11-year-old child and a 68-year-old man were injured due to the shelling of the Kyiv region. Private houses, outbuildings and residents’ cars were also damaged.
