Russian Missile Attack Kills 3 and Injures 13 in Odessa, Ukraine

At least three people were killed and 13 injured in a Russian missile attack on Odessa on Wednesday morning.

Russia launched four “Kalibr” cruise missiles from a ship in the Black Sea to a port city in southern Ukraine, Serhiy Bratchuk, a press representative of the Odesa region’s military administration, announced on the “Telegram” website.

One of the rockets hit the warehouse of the retail network, killing three employees and injuring seven more, Bratchuk informed, assuming that several more people could be in the rubble.

Six more people were injured when a complex of business centers, shops and residential buildings was damaged “as a result of the air battle and the wave of explosions”, said the representative of the administration.

Before Russia’s renewed invasion of Ukraine, which began less than a year and a half ago, Odessa was a popular holiday destination for both Ukrainians and Russians.

Odessa has been bombed several times since the beginning of the invasion.

In January, the UN cultural agency UNESCO recognized the center of Odessa as an endangered world heritage site.

Ukraine: Russian casualties reach 217,330 soldiers

The loss of Russian troops in Ukraine has reached 217,330 soldiers by Wednesday morning, according to the General Staff of the Ukrainian Army.

According to the data of the General Staff, 680 invaders were destroyed during the day.

Since the beginning of the repeated invasion on February 24 of last year, the Russians have lost 3,943 tanks, 7,653 armored personnel carriers, 3,783 cannons, 603 multi-charge rocket launchers, 364 anti-aircraft artillery installations, 314 airplanes, 300 helicopters, 3,324 drones, 1,196 cruise missiles, 6,482 cars and tankers, 18 ships and speedboats, as well as 516 units of specialized equipment.

The extent of Russia’s losses is being clarified, as the acquisition of information is hindered by hostilities.
