Russian Ministry of Defense Mines Units of PMC “Wagner” Leaving Bakhmut: Financier Yevgeny Prigozhin

The ways out from Bakhmut of the units of the private military company (PMC) “Wagner” were mined by representatives of the Russian Ministry of Defense. Its financier Yevgeny Prigozhin announced this on Telegram on June 2.

Prigogine said that almost 99% of its units have left Bakhmut and all positions have been transferred to the Ministry of the defense. He emphasized that there were no provocations by the Armed Forces of Ukraine, but “suddenly they are waiting on the other side”.

Shortly before departure, we detected suspicious activity along our route. As part of uncovering this suspicious activity, we called law enforcement and began investigating our outbound road routes. We found about a dozen locations where various explosive devices were placed, ranging from hundreds of anti-tank mines to tons of plastids. It was all under control. Inspections and inspections are conducted. Those who made these accusations were representatives of the Russian Ministry of Defense,” Prigozhin said.

Prigogine claims that explosive devices are placed in order from above.

Prigogine does not want to be dependent on “clowns”

He wants his own “piece” of the front

These charges did not have to line up to overwhelm the enemy as he was in a rear area. Therefore, it can be assumed that they wanted to meet the advancing units of PMC “Wagner” with these charges, although we do not march in columns,” Prigozhin said.

According to him, all divisions of PMC “Wagner” are alive and well, no one was injured.

“We assume that this is an attempt at public flogging,” Prigozhin is convinced.

We recall that a day earlier he stated that his group “Wagner” will continue to fight in Ukraine if his people get a separate section of the front without having to depend on “clowns” who command units of the Russian armed forces forces.

Celebrating his 62nd birthday on Thursday at a training camp, Prigozhin also confirmed that his men would finally leave the eastern Ukrainian town of Bakhmut on June 5 after handing it over to the Russian army. Wagner’s mercenaries captured the ravaged city in late May after months of brutal warfare.

“If the whole chain (of command) is 100% failed and will be run only by clowns who turn people into meat, then we will not participate in it,” said Prigogine, known for his outspoken, often profanity-laced, comments on theme of the conduct of the war.

“Beautiful, isn’t it?” he told Russian reporters with a smile, staring up at the night sky lit up by explosions and red flares against volleys of automatic fire from his mercenaries.

He then proceeded to detail the prosthetic legs his wounded men had received, including those who had continued to fight.
