Russia’s Ministry of Defense has declassified information about its new “smart” bombs. The aerial bomb is equipped with a wingspan of two meters and can hit targets at a distance of up to 60 kilometers. The range of the model with a jet engine can reach 100 km.

FAB (Soviet-era high-explosive air bomb) with a planning module allows the Russian aviation to destroy targets without entering the area of action of the enemy’s air defense. Su-34, Su-30 and Su-35 fighter-bombers are equipped with such bombs. The FAB is able to destroy concrete objects and penetrate reinforced concrete shelters. In Ukraine, they have complained more than once about the effectiveness of these projectiles, “Focus” reported.

“We are hitting enemy personnel, fortified areas and enemy gathering places,” commented senior pilot Roman succinctly.
