The Russian military, conducting military operations in the Donetsk direction, captured the strategically important stronghold of the enemy in the Maryinka area.
About this agency RIA Novosti said a volunteer with the call sign Miner. He clarified that the fighters of the Russian 5th separate motorized rifle brigade stormed the Krasnogorovsky ventilation shaft of the Trudovskaya mine and entrenched themselves there.
“According to the results of the assault, our fighters entrenched themselves at a strategically important point,” the military stated.
He explained that the stronghold occupied by our troops was located on the outskirts of Krasnogorovka, which was located a few kilometers north of Maryinka.
The agency also released a video of the artillery preparation that preceded the assault. It depicts massive strikes on the area near the shaft of the ventilation shaft.
According to Shakhter, artillery preparation was needed to suppress the enemy’s firing points, as well as to ensure that the assault units “could approach painlessly.”
