The Vaikule-owned company “Laima Live” owes the state a tax debt of 5,000 euros according to “Lursoft”, writes the portal “woman.ru”.
Laima Vaikule herself has not made any comments about these statements, but Vaikule’s spouse Andrejs Latkovskis has given them to Russian journalists.
“Maybe somewhere someone forgot to pay, I don’t even know. However, this is done by paid people – accountants, it is their duty. Laima doesn’t need to know everything about such things either,” said Vaikule’s spouse, who is also her business partner and producer.
The company “Laima Live” is mainly engaged in organizing the festival “Laima Rendezvous” in Jurmala, but in recent years the festival has not taken place due to the Covid-19 pandemic, and as a result the company has losses.
The information published in the Russian media shows that Laima Vaikule has not performed anywhere since autumn, and it is said to be related to her health. It is said that Lyme is currently in the United States, where she is undergoing a course of chemotherapy and is being treated for an oncological illness. Neither Vaikule herself nor people close to her have confirmed this information.
Let us remind you that Laima Vaikule has entered the “black list” in the Russian propaganda media, just like her friends – the singer Alla Pugacheva and her husband Maxim Galkin. Since the beginning of the war in Ukraine, Laima has also publicly expressed her indignation at what is happening and has called for an immediate end to Russia’s aggression.
