IN Ukraine has so far killed 9,861 Russian soldiers, Komsomolskaya Pravda reported. The pro-Kremlin media then announced that their site had been attacked by hackers and deleted the information.
The latest official data on the losses of the Russian army in the war were published on March 2. Then the Ministry of Defense of the Russian Federation reported 498 killed in battles with Ukrainian defenders.

Russia has been repeatedly accused of deliberately covering up its losses in the conflict.
Among those killed, according to Komsomolskaya Pravda, were at least one Russian general, seven colonels, a first-rank naval captain, nine lieutenants, 20 majors and 70 junior officers.
