Details: On Sunday, video journalist Karelin, who collaborated with the Associated Press and Deutsche Welle, was arrested in the Murmansk region.

He is accused of working with the Anti-Corruption Foundation (FBK). It is not yet known what type of article the journalist is responsible for and what city in the region he is in.

On April 27, a Moscow court sent Gabov, whom the court press service and TASS call a Reuters representative, to pre-trial detention.

Gabov is accused of participating in an “anti-community” for creating photo and video materials for Navalny Live’s YouTube channel.

The FBK has not yet made any statements about the arrests of Gabov and Karelin.

Let us remind you: Arrests of Russian journalists on charges of collaboration with FBK began in the spring of 2024.

On March 27, Rusnews journalist Olga Komleva from Ufa was sent to a pre-trial detention center. Before FBK was declared an “extremist organization,” she was a volunteer at Navalny’s local headquarters.

Also in March, Antonina Favorskaya, journalist and photographer for Sotavision, who shot the latest video with Navalny, was arrested in Moscow.
