Navalny, a Russian opposition leader who continued to criticize the Putin administration, died in February this year in a prison in the Russian Arctic Circle, and the administration announced that the cause of death was natural causes.

On September 29, the Russian investigative reporting site Insider reported the circumstances surrounding Navalny’s death, saying it had independently obtained documents from investigative authorities.

The document initially stated that Navalny’s health condition had rapidly deteriorated and that medical staff had been told that he had complained of abdominal pain, vomiting, and that he had been convicted, but all this information has been removed.
