The head of state recalled that as a result of today’s strike by the Russian invaders, 130 people were injured. In this case, five civilians were killed.
Zelensky expressed sympathy for those who lost relatives and friends.
“And please, especially these days, pay attention to air raid signals.. These nonhumans want to cause pain to Ukraine. It is important to protect life,” Zelensky said.
Massive attack of the invaders
Let us remind you that today, January 2, the Russian occupiers once again massively attacked Ukraine. To do this, they used kamikaze drones and missiles.
The enemy’s main target was Kyiv. In the capital area, air defense forces shot down about 60 missiles. In particular, they managed to destroy enemy hypersonic Kinzhal missiles, which were launched using MiG-31K aircraft.
In total, Ukrainian defenders destroyed 72 missiles today.
Despite such effective air defense work, there are casualties in Kyiv and a number of regions. In particular, dozens of civilians were injured in the capital due to falling debris.
